Gearing Up…………
Well, the days are growing shorter, and the fruit trees are laden with heavy fruit. The lavender has finished, is dried, and tucked away. This is the time when we are gearing up for our community Apple Hill season. It is a CRAZY event that brings what seems millions of people into our sleepy little town of Camino. They come from near and far to experience the farm life and find that special handmade item, or a tasty pie. MountainsideGoods is busy creating products, gathering herbs, and canning the bounty from the homestead garden. We always look forward to this event, it is fun to meet with the many visitors to our community. We visit with people from all over the world during these few months. Sometimes it seems that this event has outgrown our little town, but really it is the bread and butter for many of our neighbors. This year is going to be very interesting, because our highway is being re-designed, and the roads are in awful shape. Hopefully, everyone will drive with respect to the workers on the road. Let's stay safe out there everyone........
